治蠱毒從酒食中着者. 辰砂ㆍ雄黃ㆍ赤足蜈蚣ㆍ續隨子各一兩, 麝香二錢半. 右爲末, 糯米飯和丸芡實大. 每一丸, 以酒化下, 端午日合. ○一名丹砂元. 《三因》

Translation

Treats worm toxin contracted from wine or from food. Cinnabar, realgar, the red-footed centipede and caper spurge seed, 1 nyang each, and musk 2 don 5 fun. Powder them and bind them with cooked glutinous rice into pills the size of a euryale seed. One pill to a dose, dissolved and sent down in wine. Clinical commentary 臨床

Cinnabar, realgar, centipede and caper spurge seed in equal weight, with musk. Three of the five are poisons in their own right — mercuric sulfide, arsenic sulfide and a cardiotoxic animal venom — and the fourth is a drastic purgative; the formula is a poisoning offered as an antidote to a poisoning. 從酒食中着者, contracted from wine or food, is the only indication given, and it narrows the use: this is the pill for someone who believes they were poisoned at a meal. The pill 一丸, one at a dose, is given in wine, which would if anything speed absorption of everything in it. **Contains cinnabar (mercury), realgar (arsenic sulfide), centipede (cardiotoxic), the drastic purgative 續隨子, and musk from a CITES-protected animal.
