Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治陰毒脉伏, 及陽脫無脉ㆍ厥冷ㆍ不省. 硫黃 五兩, 硝石ㆍ太陰玄精石 各二兩, 乾薑ㆍ附子ㆍ桂心 各五錢, 爲末. 用鐵銚先鋪玄精, 次鋪硝石 各一半, 中間鋪硫黃末, 又布硝石ㆍ玄精餘末蓋上, 以小盞合着, 用炭三斤燒令得所, 勿令烟出. 急取瓦盆合着地上, 候冷取出, 入餘藥同爲末, 糊丸梧子大, 艾湯下三十丸, 汗出爲度. 《入門》
Translation
Treats yin toxin with a hidden pulse, and yang desertion with no pulse, reversal cold and loss of awareness. Sulphur, 5 nyang; saltpetre and calcitic gypsum, 2 nyang each; dried ginger, aconite and cassia heart, 5 don each, powdered. In an iron pan first spread the gypsum, then half the saltpetre, in the middle spread the powdered sulphur, then spread the remaining saltpetre and gypsum over the top; cover with a small cup, and burn with 3 geun of charcoal until it is right, letting no smoke escape. Quickly take an earthenware basin and invert it on the ground, and when cool take the mass out, add the remaining drugs and powder them together; make paste pills the size of a paulownia seed and take thirty with mugwort decoction, to the measure of sweating. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Han)
