Translation

Treats blood dryness with the stool not passing, and can moisten it. Hemp seed, peach kernel, raw rehmannia, tangkuei and bitter orange, 1 nyang each. Powder, make honey pills the size of a paulownia seed, and take fifty in plain hot water. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Daebyeon) The Jeongjeon calls it Yunche-hwan.

Clinical commentary 臨床

Five drugs in equal weight and the chapter's cleanest moistening formula: two oily seeds, two blood nourishers, one qi mover. It appears three times in the Bogam under three names — this, Yunche-hwan in the Jeongjeon, and Somain-hwan a page later — which says something about how widely it was used and how loosely formula names travelled. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
