Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治蠱病. 肉蓯蓉ㆍ白茯苓ㆍ黃芪ㆍ澤瀉ㆍ牡蠣粉ㆍ五味子ㆍ龍骨ㆍ當歸各一兩. 右爲末, 蜜丸梧子大, 空心酒下三十丸. 《類聚》

Translation

Treats gu disease. Cistanche, white poria, astragalus, alisma, oyster shell powder, schisandra, dragon bone and angelica 1 nyang each. Powder them, make honey pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take thirty on an empty stomach with wine. — Yuchwi 類聚 (Donguibogam · Sobyeon)

Clinical commentary 臨床

蠱病 here is not the poisoning of the Worms chapter but the Suwen's 白淫, white lewdness — the essence running out in a man who is wasting. Cistanche to supplement and dragon bone and oyster shell to hold. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
