The Wikisource transcription corrupts two graphs in the indication (燅…㵜); the sense is of skin sodden and broken down. The printed edition needs checking here.

Clinical commentary 臨床

A drying powder for weeping skin, and the sequence matters: wash first with sophora root to take the heat and the itch, dry the part, then dust. Dragon bone, gypsum and gall-nut are all astringent absorbents; the frankincense and musk are for the pain and to carry the rest in. **Contains red lead. Lead is absorbed through broken skin and the preparation is cumulatively poisonous. Musk also comes from a CITES-listed species. This must not be prepared.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
