Translation

Treats large intestine vacuity with the rectum prolapsed. Dragon bone and chebula 5 don each; poppy husk and halloysite 4 don each; four large gallnuts. Powder them and take 2 don at a time on an empty stomach stirred into rice water. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Hueum)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Five astringents and nothing else — dragon bone, chebula, poppy husk, halloysite and gallnut. Poppy husk also stops the straining, which is what pushes the bowel down in the first place. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
