Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治咽喉急閉, 幷單蛾ㆍ雙蛾ㆍ結喉ㆍ重舌ㆍ木舌等證. 硫黃ㆍ川芎ㆍ臘茶ㆍ薄荷ㆍ川烏ㆍ硝石ㆍ生地黃 各等分爲末, 生葱汁和勻, 一兩分作十錠. 每取一錠, 先以凉水灌漱, 次嚼薄荷五七葉, 却用藥同嚼, 以井水嚥下. 甚者連進三服. 《局方》
Translation
Treats sudden closure of the throat, and single moth, double moth, bound throat, double tongue and wooden tongue. Sulphur, chuanxiong, winter tea, mint, aconite main root, saltpetre and fresh rehmannia in equal parts, powdered and mixed evenly with the juice of fresh scallion; divide a nyang into ten lozenges. For each dose take one lozenge: first rinse the mouth with cool water, then chew five to seven mint leaves, then chew the medicine with them and swallow with well water.
