Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治喉閉口噤, 水漿不下, 危急者. 雄黃(水飛)ㆍ鬱金 各二錢半, 巴豆 十四粒(去皮油). 右爲末, 醋麪糊和丸菉豆大, 茶淸下七丸. 如口噤, 則以醋磨化搐入鼻中, 須臾吐利頑痰卽醒. 《局方》
Translation
Treats a closed throat with the jaw clenched and neither water nor gruel going down, in a critical case. Realgar (water-ground) and curcuma 2 don 5 pun each; croton 14 kernels, skinned and pressed of their oil. Powder them, bind with vinegar and flour paste into pills the size of a mung bean, and take seven with clear tea. Where the jaw is clenched, grind a pill in vinegar and snuff it up the nose; presently the stubborn phlegm is vomited and purged out and the patient revives. — Hwaje Gukbang 局方 (Donguibogam · Inhu)
