Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治牙痛. 大蒜 二枚, 細辛ㆍ焰硝 各三錢, 雄黃 一錢, 猪牙皂角 四錠. 右爲末, 蒜膏搗爲丸梧子大, 每一丸將綿子裹藥, 左邊牙疼放在左耳中, 右邊塞右耳, 良久痛止, 神效. 《綱目》
Translation
Treats toothache. Two heads of garlic; asarum and saltpetre 3 don each; realgar 1 don; four cakes of gleditsia. Powder them, pound with garlic paste into pills the size of a firmiana seed; wrap one in cotton wool and, for pain on the left, put it in the left ear, for pain on the right in the right ear — after a good while the pain stops, divinely effective.
