Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治吐衄血不止. 生藕汁ㆍ生地黃汁ㆍ大薊汁各三合, 生蜜半匙. 右件調和, 每服一小鍾. 《濟生》

Translation

Treats vomiting and nosebleed of blood that does not stop. Fresh lotus root juice, fresh rehmannia juice and cirsium juice 3 hop each; raw honey half a spoon. Mix them together and take a small cup at a time. — Jesaeng 濟生 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Three fresh juices and no dried medicinal, and the chapter has several of these for bleeding that will not stop. Fresh juice is cold, and the three plants are all stanchers; nothing is decocted because heat would undo the cooling.
