Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治血出口鼻如泉涌, 諸藥不效. 生地黃ㆍ生荷葉ㆍ生藕節ㆍ生韭菜ㆍ生茅根各一兩, 生薑五錢. 右俱擣, 取自然汁一椀, 濃磨京墨, 與汁同服. 《回春》

Translation

Treats blood issuing from mouth and nose like a welling spring, where all medicines have failed. Fresh rehmannia, fresh lotus leaf, fresh lotus root node, fresh leek and fresh imperata root 1 nyang each; fresh ginger 5 don. Pound them all together and take a bowl of the natural juice; grind capital ink thick and take it with the juice. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Seven things, all fresh — the name counts the ink and the ginger — pounded for a bowl of juice and drunk. 諸藥不效, where all medicines have failed, is the indication, and the chapter offers it as the last thing before Cheukbaek-san's flour paste.
