Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

大治耳聾. 全蝎(全者) 一箇, 土狗二枚, 地龍二條, 雄黃ㆍ白礬(半生半煆) 各半錢, 麝香二分半. 右爲末, 葱白糝藥入耳, 閉氣面壁坐一時, 三日一用. 《直指》

Translation

Greatly treats deafness. One whole scorpion; two mole crickets; two earthworms; realgar and alum (half raw and half calcined) 5 pun each; musk 2 pun 5 ri. Powder them, dust the medicine onto scallion white and put it into the ear; hold the breath and sit facing a wall for an hour, and use it once in three days. — Jikji 直指 (Donguibogam · I)

閉氣面壁坐一時 — hold the breath and sit facing a wall for an hour.
