Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治虛火痰氣鬱於耳中, 或閉或鳴, 痰火熾盛, 胸滿煩躁. 貝母一錢二分, 陳皮一錢, 黃連ㆍ黃芩(幷酒浸猪膽汁拌炒)ㆍ黃栢(酒炒)ㆍ梔子(炒)ㆍ玄參(酒洗) 各七分, 蒼朮(鹽水炒)ㆍ白朮ㆍ香附子(便炒)ㆍ生乾地黃(薑汁炒)ㆍ檳榔各五分, 川芎四分, 木香二分半, 甘草二分. 右剉, 作一貼, 入薑三片, 水煎, 入竹瀝五匙服. 《醫鑑》

Translation

Treats vacuity fire and phlegm qi depressed within the ear, blocked or ringing, with phlegm fire blazing, a full chest and vexed restlessness. Fritillaria 1 don 2 pun; tangerine peel 1 don; coptis and scutellaria (both wine-steeped and fried with pig's bile), phellodendron (wine-fried), gardenia (stir-fried) and scrophularia (wine-washed) 7 pun each; atractylodes lancea (salt-water fried), white atractylodes, cyperus (urine-fried), dried fresh rehmannia (ginger-juice fried) and areca 5 pun each; chuanxiong 4 pun; costus 2 don 5 ri; licorice 2 pun. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger, decoct in water and stir in 5 spoonfuls of bamboo sap. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · I)
