Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治痰火上升耳鳴. 草龍膽(酒洗)ㆍ當歸(酒洗)ㆍ梔子(炒)ㆍ黃芩ㆍ靑皮各一兩, 大黃(酒蒸)ㆍ靑黛ㆍ柴胡各五錢, 蘆薈ㆍ牛膽南星各三錢, 木香二錢半, 麝香五分. 右爲末, 神麴糊和丸菉豆大, 薑湯下二十丸, 日三服. 七日後用鍼砂酒以通其氣. 《醫鑑》

Translation

Treats phlegm fire rising with ringing in the ears. Gentian (wine-washed), angelica (wine-washed), gardenia (stir-fried), scutellaria and green tangerine peel 1 nyang each; rhubarb (wine-steamed), indigo and bupleurum 5 don each; aloe and ox-bile arisaema 3 don each; costus 2 don 5 pun; musk 5 pun. Powder them, bind with leaven paste into pills the size of a mung bean, and take twenty with ginger decoction three times a day. After seven days use Iron Filings Wine to free the qi. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · I)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Danggwiyonghoe-hwan with arisaema and indigo added for the phlegm.
