Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治黃疸, 水腫, 腹脹, 溏泄等證. 靑礬 二兩, 鍋內熔化, 入陳黃米 四升, 用醋拌勻, 慢火炒, 令烟盡, 入平胃散 六兩同炒, 少頃去火毒, 爲末, 醋糊丸梧子大. 每七十丸, 空心, 臨臥, 米飮下, 忌糯米ㆍ油ㆍ麪ㆍ生ㆍ冷ㆍ硬物. 此方, 卽周益公陰騭丸也. 盖靑礬乃銅之精液, 用醋製以平肝, 愈於鍼砂. 如服鍼砂, 必忌鹽而後復發, 靑礬則不忌鹽不復發. 《入門》
Translation
Treats jaundice, water swelling, abdominal distension, sloppy diarrhoea and the like. Green vitriol 2 nyang, melted in a pot; add 4 seung of aged yellow millet, stir evenly with vinegar, and dry-fry over a slow fire until the smoke is spent. Add 6 nyang of Calm the Stomach Powder and fry together; after a short while remove the fire toxin, powder, and make pills with vinegar paste the size of a firmiana seed. Take seventy at a time on an empty stomach and at bedtime with rice broth, avoiding glutinous rice, oil, wheat, raw, cold and hard foods. This formula is Zhou Yigong's Eumjeul-hwan. Green vitriol is the essence of copper, and processed with vinegar it levels the liver, surpassing needle filings. Where needle filings are taken, salt must be avoided or it recurs afterwards; with green vitriol, salt need not be avoided and it does not recur. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)
