Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治血暈譫妄. 沒藥ㆍ血竭各等分. 右爲末, 每二錢, 以童便好酒各半盞, 煎數沸, 調服, 神效. 一名血竭散. 《丹心》

Translation

Treats blood dizziness with delirium and wild speech. Myrrh and dragon's blood in equal parts. Powder them and take 2 don at a time, boiled a few bubblings in half a cup each of child's urine and good wine, stirred and taken, with spirit-like effect. It is also called Dragon's Blood Powder. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two resins only, and both are among the strongest blood-moving substances in the materia medica. The chapter reads postpartum delirium as stagnant blood reaching the heart rather than as loss, which is why the treatment moves rather than supplements. **Confusion after delivery requires urgent assessment; haemorrhage, eclampsia and sepsis must be excluded.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
