Translation

Treats accumulation dysentery with tight pain within the abdomen. Sahyang-sohap-won (its formula is in the Qi chapter), four parts; Gameung-won, six parts. Grind them together evenly, make pills the size of a mung bean, and take thirty in rice water. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Daebyeon)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two finished formulas ground together, which is a prescribing method rather than a composition: the aromatic Styrax pill for the griping pain, the Responding Pill for the accumulation, in a four-to-six ratio. Since it carries the croton of Gameung-won it carries its hazard too. **This must not be prepared.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
