Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治一切氣疾, 及中氣, 上氣, 氣逆, 氣鬱, 氣痛. 白朮ㆍ木香ㆍ沈香ㆍ麝香ㆍ丁香ㆍ安息香ㆍ白檀香ㆍ朱砂<span class='sochu'>水飛半爲衣</span>ㆍ犀角ㆍ訶子皮ㆍ香附子ㆍ蓽撥 各二兩, 蘇合油<span class='sochu'>入安息香膏內</span>ㆍ乳香ㆍ龍腦 各一兩. 右細末, 用安息香膏幷煉蜜搜和, 千擣. 每一兩, 分作四十丸. 每取二三丸, 井華水或溫水, 溫酒, 薑湯化服. 《局方》 有龍腦, 則謂之龍腦蘇合元. 無龍腦, 則謂之麝香蘇合元.
Translation
Treats all diseases of qi, and centre qi stroke, qi ascent, qi counterflow, qi depression and qi pain. White atractylodes, costus, aloeswood, musk, clove, benzoin, sandalwood, cinnabar <span class='sochu'>water-ground, half for the coating</span>, rhinoceros horn, chebula rind, cyperus and long pepper 2 nyang each; storax oil <span class='sochu'>put into the benzoin paste</span>, frankincense and borneol 1 nyang each. Powder finely, knead together with the benzoin paste and boiled honey, and pound a thousand times. Each nyang makes forty pills. Take two or three at a time dissolved in dawn-drawn well water or warm water, warm wine or ginger decoction. — Hwaje Gukbang 局方 (Donguibogam · Gi) With borneol it is called Borneol Storax Pill; without borneol, Musk Storax Pill.
