Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治氣不升降, 一切危急之證, 可冷可熱, 可緩可急, 如中氣, 上氣, 氣痛, 氣鬱皆效. 硝石ㆍ硫黃 各一兩, 同爲細末, 入椀內以微火溫炒, 以柳木篦不住手攪, 令陰陽氣相入. 不可火太過, 恐傷藥力. 再硏極細, 名二氣末. 太陰玄精石(硏飛) 一兩, 五靈脂(硏水飛澄去砂石曬乾)ㆍ靑皮ㆍ陳皮(幷去白) 各二兩, 爲末和勻, 以好醋打麪糊搜和丸, 如豌豆大, 每服三十粒, 或五十粒, 空心, 粥飮呑下. 《局方》
Translation
Treats the qi neither rising nor descending and all critical and urgent patterns — usable in cold or heat, in slow or urgent cases; in centre qi stroke, qi ascent, qi pain and qi depression alike it takes effect. Nitre and sulphur 1 nyang each, powdered fine together, put in a bowl and stir-fried gently over a low fire, stirred without pause with a willow spatula so that the qi of yin and yang enter each other; the fire must not be too strong, lest it harm the medicine's force; ground very fine again, and called the Two Qi Powder. Glauberite (ground and water-floated) 1 nyang; flying squirrel faeces (ground, water-floated, settled to remove sand and grit, and sun-dried), green tangerine peel and tangerine peel (both with the white pith removed) 2 nyang each; powdered and mixed evenly, bound with good vinegar beaten into flour paste, and made into pills the size of a pea.
