Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治胎驚發癎. 太陰玄精石ㆍ輕粉 各一錢, 粉霜ㆍ硼砂 各五分. 硏細, 入寒食麪 一錢, 水丸成餠, 再用麪褁煨黃, 取出去麪, 再硏細, 滴水和丸如米大. 一歲兒五丸, 二歲十丸, 溫水送下, 下惡物爲度. 《丹溪》 ○一少女患癎, 遇陰雨及驚則作聲似羊鳴, 口吐涎沫, 知其胎受驚也. 其病深痼難治. 先與燒丹丸, 繼以四物湯入黃連, 隨時令加減, 且令淡味以助藥功, 半年而愈. 《丹溪》
Translation
Treats womb fright breaking out as epilepsy. Selenite and calomel, 1 don each; mercury sublimate and borax, 5 fun each. Grind fine, add 1 don of cold-food wheat flour, make a cake with water, then wrap it in flour and roast it until yellow; take it out, remove the flour, grind fine again, and make pills the size of a grain of rice with water dripped in. A child of one year takes five pills, of two years ten, sent down with warm water, until foul matter comes down. A young girl suffered from epilepsy: in damp weather and whenever she was startled she would make a sound like a sheep bleating and spit foam from her mouth, and it was known that she had received a fright in the womb. Her disease was deep-set and hard to treat. She was first given Burnt Cinnabar Pill, then Four Substances Decoction with coptis added, modified with the season, and was put on bland food to help the medicine's work — and in half a year she was healed. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Sin)
