Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
殺傳尸瘵蟲. 紅椒 二斤, 去子及合口者, 炒出汗. 右爲末, 每一錢<span class='sochu'>一作二錢</span>, 空心米湯調下. 如暈悶不能禁, 卽以酒糊和丸梧子大, 空心服三五十丸<span class='sochu'>名神授元</span>. 昔有人與病勞婦人交, 遂得疾. 遇一異人云, 勞氣已入藏, 令急服二斤, 其病當去. 如言服之幾盡, 大便出一蟲, 狀如蛇, 遂愈. 後人服亦驗. 《得效》
Translation
Kills the corpse-transmitted consumption worm. Red Sichuan pepper 2 geun, with the seeds and the fruits whose mouths have not opened removed, fried until it sweats. Powder it and take 1 don <span class='sochu'>one version says 2 don</span> on an empty stomach with rice water. If dizziness and oppression cannot be borne, bind it with wine paste into pills the size of a firmiana seed and take thirty to fifty on an empty stomach <span class='sochu'>then it is called Spirit-Transmitted Pill</span>. Once a man lay with a woman ill of taxation and so caught the disease. He met a strange man who said the taxation qi had already entered the viscera and told him to take two geun of this at once, and the disease would go. He took it as told and nearly finished it, and a worm like a snake came out in his stool, and he was healed. Later takers have found it effective too. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Chung)
