Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治肝經蘊熱, 毒氣上攻, 眼目赤腫生瞖多淚. 草龍膽ㆍ甘菊ㆍ密蒙花ㆍ蔓荊子ㆍ荊芥穗ㆍ川芎ㆍ蟬殼ㆍ靑箱子ㆍ草決明ㆍ梔子ㆍ防風ㆍ木賊ㆍ白蒺藜ㆍ甘草各等分. 右爲末, 每二錢, 茶淸或荊芥湯調下. 《入門》

Translation

Treats heat stored in the liver channel with toxic qi attacking upward, the eyes red and swollen, a screen breeding and much tearing. Gentian, chrysanthemum, buddleia flower, vitex, schizonepeta spikes, chuanxiong, cicada slough, celosia seed, cassia seed, gardenia, saposhnikovia, horsetail, tribulus and licorice in equal parts. Powder them and take 2 don at a time stirred into clear tea or a schizonepeta decoction. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · An)
