Translation

Treats wind eye with dimness and much tearing, and a sudden red swelling. Buddleia flower, tribulus (stir-fried), notopterygium, horsetail, chrysanthemum and abalone shell in equal parts. Powder them and take 1 don at a time stirred into clear tea. — Gukbang 局方 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Six medicinals in equal parts, a don at a time in tea — the chapter's simplest eye powder and the one that gathers its six signature drugs in one place: buddleia, tribulus, horsetail, chrysanthemum, abalone shell and notopterygium. Nothing in it is strong, which is why the Gukbang gives it for an eye that waters and dims rather than for a crisis. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
