Translation

Treats wind toxin attacking upward with the eyes dim, a screen and membrane veiling the pupil, itching and pain and much tearing. Bupleurum 2 nyang; notopterygium, saposhnikovia and licorice 1 nyang each. Powder them and take 2 don at a time stirred into mint decoction or clear tea; or cut up 5 don and decoct in water, which is also effective. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Four medicinals, bupleurum at double the rest, and a choice of powder or decoction — the smallest and most usable of the chapter's wind formulas. Bupleurum carries the three wind drugs into the liver channel, and that is the whole prescription; it is the one in this group a clinician could reach for unaltered. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
