Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治女勞疸, 身黃額黑, 日晡發熱, 小腹急, 足下熱. 石膏(煆)ㆍ滑石各等分. 右爲末, 每二錢, 大麥粥飮調下. 《得效》

Translation

Treats taxation jaundice from sexual excess, with the body yellow and the forehead black, fever in the late afternoon, the lower abdomen tense and the soles of the feet hot. Gypsum (calcined) and talc in equal parts. Powder them and take 2 don stirred into barley congee broth. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)

Clinical commentary 臨床

身黃額黑 — the body yellow and the forehead black — is the sign that names this pattern in the Jingui, and the fever in the late afternoon with hot soles places the heat in the yin aspect. Both medicinals are cold and heavy and work through the urine.
