治女勞疸. 白礬ㆍ硝石 各一錢. 右爲末, 以大麥粥飮調下. 《入門》 一方, 去硝石, 代滑石, 治濕疸. 《入門》
Translation
Treats taxation jaundice from sexual excess. Alum and niter 1 don each. Powder them and take stirred into barley congee broth. Another version removes the niter and substitutes talc, treating damp jaundice. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Zhongjing's Xiaoshi Fanshi San, and the Jingui gives it for exactly this — 女勞疸, jaundice from sexual taxation, with a blackened forehead and a hot sensation in the soles. The presentation the classics describe under that name, with dark urine and blackening of the skin, corresponds to haemolysis, and the chapter's next two formulas address the same picture.
