Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治目赤腫痛, 暴作雲瞖. 川芎ㆍ當歸ㆍ赤芍藥ㆍ生乾地黃各一錢三分, 羌活ㆍ防風各八分, 草龍膽ㆍ防己各六分. 右剉作一貼, 水煎服. 《海藏》

Translation

Treats the eye red, swollen and painful with a cloud screen suddenly forming. Chuanxiong, Korean angelica, red peony and dried raw rehmannia 1 don 3 pun each; notopterygium and saposhnikovia 8 pun each; gentian and sinomenium 6 pun each. Cut up as one packet and decoct in water. — Haejang 海藏 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Samul-tang with red peony for white and four drugs added — the formula for a screen that has come up suddenly, where the chapter reads the trouble as being in the blood rather than at the surface.
