Translation

Treats accumulated heat. Ember-roasted rhubarb, scutellaria, and coptis, in equal parts. Powder the above and bind with honey into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds; take 30–50 pills with boiled water on an empty stomach. — Samhwang-tang treats the same: taking the materials of Samhwang-won, cut 1.5 don for one dose, decoct in water and take. — Seonmyeong 宣明 (Donguibogam · Hwa)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Accumulated heat's plainest answer: the two yellows with rhubarb ember-roasted so it regulates rather than storms. One material, two formats — pill for the long campaign, decoction when the case wants speed. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
