Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
扶元氣, 健脾胃, 進飮食, 潤肌膚, 生精血, 眞仙丹也. 雪白朮 一斤, 人參 四兩, 幷剉作片, 入磁鍋, 淨水十椀, 熬取汁二椀. 濾出滓, 又添水熬, 取汁二椀去渣. 將二次汁濾淨, 慢火熬至二椀, 加入蜜 半斤, 再熬至稠, 埋土中三日取出, 日服三四次, 白湯下. 《回春》
Translation
It supports the origin qi, fortifies the spleen and stomach, restores appetite, moistens the flesh and engenders essence and blood — truly an immortals' elixir. Snow-white atractylodes 1 geun and ginseng 4 nyang, both cut into slices, put in a porcelain pot with ten bowls of clean water and reduced to two bowls of liquor. Strain off the dregs, add water and reduce again to two bowls, discarding the residue. Strain the two liquors clean, reduce over a slow fire to two bowls, add half a geun of honey, reduce again until thick, bury in the earth for three days and take out.
