Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治衄血. 香附子 四兩, 川芎 二兩. 右爲末, 每二錢, 茶淸調下, 不以時. 丹溪心法, 芎附飮同. 香附開鬱行氣, 使邪火散於經絡. 川芎和血通肝, 使血歸於肝藏. 血歸火散, 其血立止. 《入門》
Translation
Treats nosebleed. Cyperus 4 nyang, chuanxiong 2 nyang. Powder them and take 2 don at a time stirred into clear tea, at any hour. The Danggye Simbeop's Chuanxiong and Cyperus Drink is the same. Cyperus opens depression and moves the qi, so that the evil fire scatters into the channels; chuanxiong harmonizes the blood and communicates with the liver, so that the blood returns to the liver.
