Clinical commentary 臨床

The gentlest of the white-dysentery formulas and the only one with no binder in it at all: this is a qi tonic with a little warmth, for the patient whose mucous stool is the residue of a dysentery rather than an active one. The name's drain the white is misleading — nothing here drains — and the Jipryak's intent is plainly to rebuild rather than to clear. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
