Translation
Treats stomach reflux. Take a quantity of large field snails and keep them in fresh water until they void their mud; pour off the clear water, spread ash on a sieve, cover the ash with a sheet of bark paper, pour the mud onto the paper, and when it is half dry make pills the size of a paulownia seed. Thirty pills each time, swallowed down with patchouli decoction, and the patient is cured on the spot. This is called Snail Mud Pill. The snails are to be put back in the water; killing and eating them has no effect. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Guto)
