Clinical commentary 臨床

Sagunja-tang with yam and lotus seed for the spleen, patchouli and cardamom to aromatize, and a little coptis against the heat that reflux brings — a supplementing formula rather than a descending one. Of the reflux formulas in the chapter it is the mildest and the one meant for long use, where Jeongsaeng-dan and Hoesaengyangwi-dan are for the acute crisis. **Contains pinellia, which is toxic in the raw state and must be properly processed.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
