Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治精氣虛滑, 遺泄不禁. 龍骨ㆍ蓮花蘂ㆍ芡仁ㆍ烏梅肉各等分. 右爲末, 山藥糊和丸小豆大, 空心, 米飮下三十丸. 《得效》

Translation

Treats the essential qi vacuous and slippery, with emission and leakage unrestrained. Dragon bone, lotus stamen, euryale seed and mume flesh in equal parts. Powder them, bind with dioscorea paste into pills the size of an adzuki bean, and take thirty on an empty stomach with rice broth. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Jeong)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Four astringents — mineral, flower, seed, fruit — and dioscorea to bind. Geumswaesaseon-dan at 3.5 was three of these with Cherokee rose; this is the Deukhyo's version with mume, the sourest astringent in the materia medica. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
