Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

白龍骨(九蒸九暴)ㆍ兎絲子(酒製)ㆍ韭子(瓦上微炒) 各三兩. 右爲末, 蜜丸梧子大, 空心, 鹽湯呑下十丸. 初服忌房事. 《活人心方》

Translation

White dragon bone (steamed and sun-dried nine times), cuscuta (wine-processed) and leek seed (lightly fried on a tile) 3 nyang each. Powder them, make honey pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take ten on an empty stomach with salt decoction. On first taking it, avoid the bedchamber. — Hwarinsimbang 活人心方 (Donguibogam · Jeong)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Dragon bone to hold, cuscuta and leek seed to warm the kidney — an astringent with a supplement behind it, which is the shape most of this chapter's formulas take. 初服忌房事, avoid the bedchamber when starting: the lock is not to be tested while it sets.
