Clinical commentary 臨床

Jeonghyangtugyeok-tang stripped to nine drugs and given as a coarse powder: magnolia bark and cyperus lead, the rest are aromatics in fun doses, and a pinch of salt goes in at the end. It is the lighter of the pair and the one for a patient whose trouble is distension and stoppage rather than wasting. 寬中, loosening the middle, names the whole aim — not to purge and not to supplement, but to let the middle burner move again. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
