Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治諸痔. 端午日取大蜈蚣一條, 竹簽陰乾, 臨發剪一寸煆存性, 麻油調塗. 輕則不發, 重則次年對周日又發, 再剪一寸煆塗斷根. 《入門》

Translation

Treats piles of every kind. On the fifth day of the fifth month take one large centipede, split it on a bamboo pin and dry it in the shade; when an attack comes, cut off one chon, burn it with the nature retained, mix with sesame oil and smear it on. In a light case it does not break out again; in a severe one it breaks out again on the same day next year, and another chon is cut, burnt and smeared on, and the root is cut off. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Hueum)
