Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治齒縫出血不止. 黃柏ㆍ薄荷ㆍ芒硝ㆍ靑黛各等分. 右爲末, 入龍腦少許, 糝牙床卽止. 《入門》

Translation

Treats bleeding from between the teeth that does not stop. Phellodendron, mint, mirabilite and indigo in equal parts. Powder them, add a little borneol, and dust on the gums, and it stops at once. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

A tooth powder rather than a medicine taken — four cooling medicinals dusted on the gum. Indigo gives it its green and its name, and the whole of 1.19 is applied to the mouth this way. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
