Clinical commentary 臨床

Thirteen medicinals in near-equal weight, cooling the blood and venting the surface at once — indigo leaf and rehmannia below, pueraria and cimicifuga above. The Jikji holds cinnabar toxin to be malign hot blood stored at the life gate and set off when the sovereign and ministerial fires rise together, and the chapter's own rule on it is prognostic: a cinnabar toxin that starts at the limbs and moves into the abdomen kills. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
