Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治丹毒遊走不定. 寒水石(生)ㆍ石膏(生) 各二兩, 黃栢ㆍ甘草各五錢. 右爲末, 新水調, 鷄羽刷上, 或攤紙花貼之. 《東垣》

Translation

Treats cinnabar toxin wandering without fixed place. Raw glauberite and raw gypsum 2 nyang each; phellodendron and licorice 5 don each. Powder them, mix with fresh water, and brush it on with a chicken feather, or spread it on a paper flower and apply that. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Pi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two cold minerals at four times the weight of the two herbs, mixed with fresh water and painted on — a cooling compress rather than a medicine.
