Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治濕勝自汗. 麻黃根ㆍ黃芪各一錢, 羌活七分, 生甘草ㆍ當歸尾ㆍ生黃芩ㆍ半夏各五分, 麥門冬ㆍ生地黃各三分, 猪苓二分, 蘇木ㆍ紅花各一分, 五味子七粒. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《東垣》

Translation

Treats spontaneous sweating from damp prevailing. Ephedra root and astragalus 1 don each; notopterygium 7 pun; raw licorice, angelica tail, raw scutellaria and pinellia 5 pun each; ophiopogon and fresh rehmannia 3 pun each; polyporus 2 pun; sappan and safflower 1 pun each; schisandra 7 grains. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Jinaek)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Dongwon's formula for 5.4's damp sweating: ephedra root and astragalus to close the surface, notopterygium to dry the damp out through it, and a pinch of sappan and safflower to move the blood the damp has slowed.
