Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治姙娠日月未足, 而欲産者, 腹痛. 知母爲末, 蜜丸梧子大, 米飮下三五十丸, 日三服, 不拘時. 《綱目》

Translation

Treats a pregnancy whose days and months are not yet full where there is an urge to deliver, with abdominal pain. Anemarrhena powdered, made into honey pills the size of a firmiana seed, thirty to fifty taken down with rice broth, three times a day at any hour. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Buin)

One medicinal for preterm labour, and anemarrhena is chosen because the chapter reads an early urge to deliver as heat driving the foetus down.
