Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治因驚, 胎動腹痛下血. 熟地黃三錢, 川芎ㆍ枳殼各一錢半, 糯米一合. 右剉作一貼, 薑三棗二, 水煎服. 《正傳》

Translation

Treats foetal stirring from fright, with abdominal pain and bleeding. Cooked rehmannia 3 don; chuanxiong and bitter orange 1 don 5 pun each; glutinous rice 1 hop. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes, decoct in water and take. — Jeongjeon 正傳 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

因驚 — following a fright — names the occasion, and the Uterus chapter's Hobakjusa-hwan at 13.18 treats the same aetiology in an unmarried girl. A sudden shock disturbing a settled pregnancy is a category the chapter takes seriously.
