Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治年壯氣盛, 情慾動中, 所願不得, 意淫於外, 以致夢遺. 半夏 一兩破如豆大, 猪苓末 二兩. 先將一半炒半夏, 令色黃, 不令焦, 出火毒. 只取半夏爲末, 糊丸梧子大, 候乾, 更用前猪苓末一半同炒, 微裂, 入砂甁內養之. 空心, 溫酒或鹽湯下三五十丸. 盖半夏有利性, 而猪苓導水, 卽腎閉導氣使通之意.
Translation
Treats one young and strong of qi, desire stirring within, the wish not attained and the mind lewd without, bringing on emission in dreams. Pinellia 1 nyang broken to the size of beans, polyporus powder 2 nyang. First fry the pinellia with half the polyporus until yellow but not scorched, and let the fire toxin out. Take only the pinellia and powder it, make paste pills the size of a firmiana seed, and when dry fry them again with the other half of the polyporus until slightly cracked, and store in an earthenware jar. Take thirty to fifty on an empty stomach with warm wine or salt decoction. Pinellia has a freeing nature and polyporus conducts water — the sense is that the kidney is closed, and the qi is conducted to open it. — Jeongjeon 正傳 (Donguibogam · Jeong)
