治房勞過傷, 精滑夢遺. 樗根白皮炒爲末, 酒糊和丸梧子大. 然性涼而燥, 不可單服, 須以八物湯煎水呑下爲佳. 《入門》

Translation

Treats sexual taxation past measure, with the essence slippery and emission in dreams. Tree-of-heaven root bark stir-fried and powdered, bound with wine paste into pills the size of a firmiana seed. But its nature is cool and drying, and it may not be taken alone; it is best swallowed down with Eight Substances Decoction. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Jeong)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Tree-of-heaven bark is the chapter's strongest astringent and its harshest — 性涼而燥, cool and drying — and the Immun forbids it alone. Palmul-tang, the qi-and-blood supplement, is the vehicle, so that the lock does not dry what it locks.
