Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治色慾動相火致右耳聾. 熟地黃 一錢半, 山藥ㆍ山茱萸ㆍ當歸ㆍ川芎ㆍ白芍藥 各八分, 牡丹皮ㆍ澤瀉ㆍ白茯苓ㆍ石菖蒲ㆍ遠志ㆍ知母ㆍ黃栢(幷鹽酒炒) 各六分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服, 空心. 亦治大病後耳聾. 《回春》
Translation
Treats desire stirring the ministerial fire so that the right ear goes deaf. Cooked rehmannia 1 don 5 pun; dioscorea, cornus, angelica, chuanxiong and white peony 8 pun each; tree peony bark, alisma, white poria, acorus, polygala, anemarrhena and phellodendron (all salt-and-wine fried) 6 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take on an empty stomach. It also treats deafness after a great illness. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · I)
