Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治經候不調, 臍腹㽲痛, 面色萎黃, 飮食減少, 或崩漏帶下. 香附子, 擦去毛, 好醋煮半日, 焙爲末, 醋糊和丸梧子大, 米飮下五七十丸. 《綱目》 一名香附丸, 又名醋附丸. 治婢妾氣鬱, 經多不調.
Translation
Treats menses out of order with griping pain around the navel and abdomen, a withered yellow complexion, reduced appetite, or flooding and spotting with vaginal discharge. Cyperus, the hairs rubbed off, boiled half a day in good vinegar, dry-roasted and powdered; make pills with vinegar paste the size of a firmiana seed and take fifty to seventy down with rice broth. It is also called Hyangbu-hwan, and also Chobu-hwan. It treats qi depression in maidservants and concubines, with menses excessive and out of order. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Po)
