Two Immortals Powder for the Protruding Eye
Iseon-san
한글 이선산 (소아) · Pinyin Er Xian San
A fourth formula of this name. The three already standing were compared ingredient by ingredient and none is this. iseon-san, from Jahwa, is an emetic of 瓜蔕 with good tea taken in pickle brine. iseon-san-in, from the Uihak Immun — the same source label as this leaf — is 膽礬 one don with 白殭蠶 two don blown into the throat for throat closure. iseon-san-ongjeo, from the Gogeum Uigam, is 白芷 with 貝母 in half wine for abscess pain. This leaf shares no drug with any of them, and the name is accounted for by the drugs themselves: both 仙靈脾 and 威靈仙 carry 仙, immortal, which is the whole of what the two immortals are. So the chapter tail is used. The leaf carries no indication of its own; 1.87.1 supplies it at 食毒物睛凸出宜二仙散.
