Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治陰黃, 曾服薑ㆍ附諸藥未愈, 脉尙遲者. 茵蔯一物湯, 加吳茱萸ㆍ附子(炮)ㆍ乾薑(炮)ㆍ木通ㆍ當歸各一錢也. 《活人》

Translation

Treats yin jaundice where ginger and aconite medicines have already been taken without recovery and the pulse is still slow. To the Virgate Wormwood Single Substance Decoction add evodia, aconite (blast-fried), dry ginger (blast-fried), akebia and angelica 1 don each. — Hwarinseo 活人 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The last and coldest of the six, and its indication is defined by failure — the previous formulas have been tried and the pulse is still slow. Evodia warms the liver channel, which is where the tradition places jaundice, and angelica and akebia move blood and free the passages so that the warming reaches. **Contains aconite.
