Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治氣血虛弱, 陽物僅具形迹, 面色萎黃, 幷大病後不能作呼喚聲. 久服耳目聰明, 鬚髮皆黑, 延年益壽. 紫河車 一具(照前法蒸熟), 生地黃 二兩半, 白茯苓 二兩, 縮砂 六錢. 三物以紗絹包之, 入磁缸內酒煮, 乾再添酒煮七次, 取出去砂ㆍ苓不用. 盖地黃得砂仁ㆍ茯苓則入腎經故也. 材料ㆍ劑服法, 與上大造丸同. 《入門》
Translation
Treats Qi and Blood weak and vacuous, the Yang member having no more than the form of itself, the complexion sallow and yellow, and — after a great illness — being unable to call out aloud. Taken long, the ears and eyes grow clear and bright, the hair and beard turn black, and the years are extended. One placenta, steamed through by the method above; raw rehmannia 2 nyang 5 don; white poria 2 nyang; amomum 6 don. The three are wrapped in silk gauze, put into a porcelain crock and cooked with wine; when it boils dry, more wine is added and the cooking repeated seven times, after which the amomum and poria are removed and not used — for rehmannia, meeting amomum and poria, enters the Kidney channel.
